  4. Day4 Day 4: Nakuru - Samburu

After breakfast you will check out and leave Lake Nakuru and head north to Samburu national Reserve, which is on the fringes of the semi-arid northern frontier district of Kenya. The extensive tracts of grassland, acacia savanna and thorn bush are broken up by strips of lush riverine woodland, whilst in many areas multiple-trunked doum palms further enhance the scenery. The reserve is rich in wildlife with fame for abundance in rare northern specialist species such as the Gravy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx (also referred as Samburu Special).
