The Kinale hill ‘miniature’ of Mt Longonot lies on the floor of the rift valley adjacent to Kikuyu Escarpment. The hill rises at an altitude of 2500 meters above sea level, on the Eastern side which is the windward side.
The starting point to the top of the hill is from the Mai Maahiu/Longonot road. The trek takes an approximate 2 hours to the top and another 1 hour’s descent before doing the last climb through Kinale forest to the end point which is at (Soko Mjinga) along Nairobi/Nakuru highway.

The top of the hill provides a magnificent view point of Lake Naivasha, Mt Longonot, Mt Suswa, Kikuyu escarpment
